Evada Ann Jones (Maguire), 77, went to be with her Heavenly Father February 23, 2013.
She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio to the late William H. Maguire, Sr. and the late Clara V. Maguire on October 5, 1935.         She began her life as a mother early and had 5 wonderful children over the years.  Her five children were truly the joy and loves of her life.  She taught them love and acceptance -she had a true artistic free spirit whose kind heart, laughter and incredible smile touched them and everyone who ever knew her.  Evada had many creative talents including sewing, painting and arts & crafts which she passed down to her children.  She won many blue ribbons for artwork and always strived to gain the next award at a creative show.  Even to the last of her life, she was known to share her beautiful talent and pass on gifts to her sister, brothers, their families, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren – special Christmas gifts customized with your name painted on!  She warmed the lives of the people who cared for her and came to love her.
When she became a single mom, she concentrated on hard work and diligence, and sacrificed to provide a good life for her family. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many.  Her place of work was a beautiful large building in downtown Columbus – which surely mirrored her grand taste for life and success.  She retired after 27 years of dedicated work at the company that held her in such high regard for over a quarter of a century.  She continued to stay at “work” doing joyful tasks with grandkids, reading, and painting the next scenery that struck her fancy.
Evada Ann is preceded in death by her parents William and Clara Maguire and her brother William H. Maguire, Jr.
She is survived by all 5 children: Paul B. White, Jr., Elizabeth A. White, James E. Jones, Janette Jones-Ball, and Matthew W. Jones, and her grandchildren Paul White III, Amanda White, Justin Saavedra, Laura Saavedra, Andy Williamson, Nathan Jones, Julia Marrero, Ian Ball, Destiny Cashwell, Dustin Cashwell, and Shawn Cashwell.  She is also survived by her great grandchildren including 3 sets of great grand-twins!  Emmett White & Eli White, Madelyn & Makenna Jones, Bentley & Gabriel Ball, as well as Cameron Ball.  She is also survived by her sister Jane Gordon and brothers James Maguire, Dave Maguire, great nieces and nephews and many beloved cousins.
The family wishes to thank Hospice Care in Columbus Ohio for the comfort that they provided and the professionalism that they brought to us while taking care of mom at home during the last months.  She passed in her own home of 30 years, and went peacefully with many family members at her side.  She is finally breathing fresh air and whole standing in the presence of the Lord. We would give anything to see her beautiful smile and hear her laugh. She was the most incredible mom and we are so thankful she was ours.
