ALICE JEAN NAGEL

ALICE JEAN NAGEL, 80, formerly of Dix Addition, Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016.

She was born in Martins Ferry, on March 25, 1936, the daughter of the late Robert F. and Mary Louise (Williams) Shrodes.

She was a retired telephone operator at Wake Co. Medical Center, NC. And a Past President of the Colerain VFW Post 8848 Auxiliary.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Nagel and step-mother, Loraine Shrodes.

She is survived by two sons, John R. (Amy Padden) Nagel, Martins Ferry and Michael A. (Lisa) Nagel, NC.; daughter, Vicki L. Goonen, Indian Rocks, Fl.; four grandsons, Jon, Josh, Jesse and Christopher Nagel; granddaughter, Chelsea Goonen; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Cameron Bavi.

Funeral service were held at the funeral home Wednesday May 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Rev. William O. Webster, Jr. officiating.

Mausoleum Entombment followed in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.

The Martins Ferry Fire Department paid respects Tuesday at 7 p.m.
