ANTHONY A. SARRATORE, "BUTCH"

ANTHONY A. SARRATORE, "BUTCH," 69, of Seabrights Lane, Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday December 24, 2016.

Butch was born in Wheeling, WV. on April 5, 1947, the son of the late Antonio and Mary J. (Scarfo) Sarratore.

Mr. Sarratore graduated from M.F. High School and furthered his education , graduated and receiving a B.S. Degree in education from Ohio University and a Masters Degree in school Administration from Dayton University. He was a retired teacher/principal at Martins Ferry School System for 35 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Council 1421 Knights of Columbus, Democrat Central Committee of M. F., Bel. Co. Democrat Comm., Councilman of Martins Ferry, 18 years service, Honorary Member of Liberty Engine Co. #3, and Martins Ferry Volunteer Fire Dept.for 17 years.

He is survived by uncle, Ernest Marino, Martins Ferry; aunt, Rosmary Cost, Tiltonsville, OH; and numerous cousins

Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tom Marut as the celebrant.

Interment at Riverview Cemetery. Martins Ferry at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Martins Ferry School System, Ayers Road, Martins Ferry, OH 43935.

Fire Dept. will hold services Tuesday at 7 p.m., followed by a wake service at 7:30.
