CHARLES BISHOP Obituary
CHARLES DONALD BISHOP, 81, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017, at his residence.
He was born in Martins Ferry on April 27, 1936, the son of the late Donald Charles and Roberta (Atkinson) Bishop.
He was a retired sales representative at Plenums Inc. and owner of the former Bayside Air Conditioning both of Florida and secretary of the former Stanton Heater of Martins Ferry.
He was a member and a trustee of the First United Methodist Church of Martins Ferry; member of Ohio City Lodge #486, Scottish Rite of Steubenville; Board of Directors of Martins Ferry High School Alumni Association.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter on February 16, 1966.
In addition to his wife, Sharon Gay Atwood Bishop, he is survived by two sons, Charles L. Bishop, Largo, FL; Christopher A. (Tina) Bishop, Muncie, IN; two grandsons, Tyler L. Bishop and Nathan A. Bishop both of Muncie, IN; sister, Barbara A. (Darrell) Driver, Columbus, OH.
A Masonic funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 585, Martins Ferry, OH 43935 or Valley Hospice, 10686 St. Rt. 150, Rayland, OH 43943.
