DAVID KOONCE Obituary

DAVID LEE KOONCE, 87, formerly of Jacobsburg, OH, passed away Wednesday, July 5th, 2017, in the company of family members.
He was born in Dover, OH on March 11, 1930, a son of the late John and Emma (Berger) Koonce.
He was employed by the former John Wensel Meat Packing Co. of Wheeling, WV.; a member of St. Joe, Church of Christ Bellaire, OH; Lifetime member of the D.A.V of Bellaire, OH.; member of the American Legion and the former Eagles Lodge both of Martins Ferry; past member of the Neffs Fire Department. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Dorothy Lee (Hendershot) Koonce who passed away May 27, 2017, he was preceded in death by a son, David Lee Koonce; one brother Donald Koonce; and three sisters, Marjorie Givens, Mary Jane Rankin and Doris Weisie.
He is survived by daughter, Debbie J. (Norman) Dennis, Bellaire, OH; grandson, Jason Dennis, Wellington, OH; granddaughter, Heather Bruce, Jacobsburg, OH; three great-grandsons, Kolin, Kaiden and Mason; great granddaughter, Alivia.
Services are private at the convenience of family.
