FRED JENNINGS DEATON

FRED JENNINGS DEATON,  66, of Eastover, NC and formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024.
Fred was born in Martins Ferry, OH on June 4, 1958,  he was the son of the late Theodore Jennings and Clara Louise (Reeder) Deaton.
He was a retired, security guard at McKeen Security and the Ohio Co. Library, both of Wheeling, WV.
Fred was truly one of a kind, if you were ever around him, he always has a great story to tell and a way to make everyone around him laugh. Fred went peacefully and did not suffer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Tammy (Runner) Brost; brother, Ted Edward Deaton and a nephew, Kyle Edward Deaton
He is survived by a brother, James Alan Deaton, Martins Ferry, OH; sister,  Debra Deaton, nephew, Dale Jennings Knollinger, both of Eastover, NC; two great-nephews, Hampton and Jennings.  
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the Gold, 5th Street, Martins Ferry.
