HELEN ELIZABETH FEKETE, 95, of Colerain Pike, Martins Ferry, OH , passed away Friday, August 25th, 2017 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born in Bellaire, OH on September 3, 1921, a daughter of the late Joseph Hutch and Bertha M. (Yahn) Behres.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John; two sisters, Eleanore Bugaj and Jean Ann Gilbert; two brothers, Joseph and William Behres.
She is survived by son, David Fekete, Columbus, OH; daughter, Paula J. (Greg) Stonerock, Gahanna, OH; daughter, Linda S Sommer, Martins Ferry, OH; son, Steve (Beverly) Fekete, Columbus, OH; daughter, Sharon M. (Charles) Lucas, Martins Ferry, OH; sister, Dorothy M. Gilbert, Lancaster, OH; grandson, Christopher J. Sommer, Martins Ferry, OH; granddaughter, Jamie L. Sommer, Columbus, OH; granddaughter, Brianne E. (Dale) Mussard, Zanesville, OH; granddaughter, Chelsea M. (Erik) Mullins, Cleveland, OH; granddaughter, Maggie L. Fekete, Marysville,OH; grandson, Michael S. (Fredrika) Fekete, Hilton Head, SC; grandson, Tyler S. Smith, Columbus, OH; grandson, Cody B. (Alex) Stonerock, Brooklyn, NY.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, OH. at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30th, 2017 with Rev. Tom Marut, celebrant. Mausoleum entombment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
Wake service was held at the funeral home Tuesday at 7:30.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church, 20 N. 4th Street, Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
