JESSIE WORTHINGTON Obituary
JESSIE LOU WORTHINGTON, 79, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Tuesday, August 28th, 2018.
She was born in Martins Ferry, on August 15, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Charles Herman and Helen (Saunders) Armstrong.
She was employed at Attorney William L.Thomas Law Office for 18 Years. Retired from Ameritec/Ohio Bell Telephone Co after 31 years; realtor with the former Colman Realty; member of the 1st Presbyterian Church; 50 year member of the Chancel Choir; member of the Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority, Gamma Chapter. all of Martins Ferry. Jessie graduated from M. F. H. S. in 1957.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her life long friends, Dottie Ann, Mary Louise and Jeanann.
She is survived by two daughters, Beth Lynne (Scott) Davidson and Jane Lynne (Joseph) Klug, both of Martins Ferry; four grandsons, Anthony Vespa, Martins Ferry, Jacob Klug, Martins Ferry, Daniel (Sarah) Klug, St. Clairsville and Zackary Davison, Martins Ferry; granddaughter, Jessica Katelyn Davison, Martins Ferry; two great-grandchildren, Brayden Ging and Brielle Klug.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and also Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 10 until time of service at 11 a.m., with Rev. David Stammerjohn, officiating.
Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery Martins Ferry.
The Deacons of the church will hold a service Friday at 7 p.m., followed by the Sorority at 7:30 p.m.
