JOHN HERCULES Obituary

JOHN LEE HERCULES, “HERK”, 74, of Bridgeport, OH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. 

John was born in Wheeling, WV on February 22, 1946, a son of the late John Richard and Mildred Jane (Haddon) Hercules.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator at Local 132, Operating Engineers.

He was Presbyterian by faith.

He served in the US Navy. 

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Jane; two brothers, James R. and Kenneth W. Hercules and a sister, Martha Jane Butler.

In addition to his wife, Darlene (Steimman) he is survived by a brother, Robert D. (Patsy) Hercules, Warwood, WV; three daughters, Teressa (Mike) Wolf, Martins Ferry, OH, Katrina (Joe) Czuchran, Rayland, OH, Janet (Brian) Keller, Sharrard, WV; seven grandchildren, Kayla Wolf, Columbus, OH, Michael Wolf, Martins Ferry, OH, John Thomas Wolf, Martins Ferry, OH, Shayla (Ryan) Gilham, Rayland, OH; great-granddaughter, McKinley Jane, Rayland, OH; grandson, Brennan Czuchran, Cleveland, OH; grandson, Austin Keller, Sherrard, WV; granddaughter, Kyllie Keller, Sharrard, WV; several nieces and nephews.

John will be missed by his fur babies.

John loved being outside working in his yard on his Kubota and helping his neighbors.

John will be missed by all his girls.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Valley River Elks Lodge #231, 14 N. 4th Street, or the M.F. Ladder Station, 4th And Locust St., both of Martins Ferry, OH 43935.

Due to Covid 19, no visitation or service.
