JOHN WILLIAM TRAIN, JR., 72, of Martins Ferry, OH passed away Friday, January 29, 2021.
John was born in Martins Ferry, OH on April 17, 1948, he was the son of the late John William and Mary Virginia (Stanton) Train.
He was a retired employee of the former Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville Plant; member of First Baptist Church and the PNA Club, both of Martins Ferry.
John was always a writer and a student of life. Filled with empathy. Never meeting a stranger. He would speak up for his beliefs even when not popular but would still love those he disagreed with. He had amazing adventures and sacrificed for his family and others. He always said the best thing he ever did in life was raise great kids. As his children we would say the reason we are who we are today is in large part because of the unconditional love and support we received from our Father.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Jordan.
He is survived by a daughter, Tara Lee (Michael) Bailey, three granddaughters, Zoe, Alanna, and Finley, Madison, AL and a son, John Tyler (Jamie) Train, grandson, Alister, Westerville, OH; former wife, Kim Train, Martins Ferry; sister, Carolyn (Ralph) Francisco of Columbus, OH.
Celebration of Life Service, will be held post COVID-19.
Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book to the left of his photo.
