Jo Ann Samples

Jo Ann Samples, 68, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, April 22, 2020.

She was born in Martins Ferry, OH, on October 24, 1951, to the late Joseph and Ann (Kloss) Topp. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Joseph and Robert Topp. She is survived by her adoring husband of 45 years, Gale Samples; her loving son, Gale Samples II, and his wife, Emily Ferris, of Pittsburgh, PA; and a very special niece and friend, Jamie Topp. They will miss her faith, her cooking, and her deep love for her friends and family.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery, to be officiated by Rev. Tom Marut. The family invite you to sign the online guest book to the left of her photo.
