MARTHA NOLA VOLAN

MARTHA NOLA VOLAN, 88, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Wednesday, August 17th, 2016 while in the company of family members at her residence.

She was born in Martins Ferry on September 23, 1927 daughter of the late Mary E. (Whiston) Dornon.

Martha was a retired teacher for the Martins Ferry School System. She was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church of Steubenville, OH.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

In addition to her husband, Paul J. Volan, she is survived by son, Paul L. (Karen) Volan, Martins Ferry; daughter, Cheryl S. (Robert) McCartrney, St. Simons Island, GA; grandchildren, Paul (Cherith) Volan; Jeff (Mandi) Volan; Denise (Dave) Kuckuck; Malinda (Danny) Stevey. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson.

Funeral service were held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 with Pastor J. Kotsanos and Rev. Terry Endsley officiating.

Mausoleum entombment followed at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
