MIKE EUGENE JACOB

MIKE EUGENE JACOB,77, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Tuesday, January 2nd, 2018.
Mike was born in Martins Ferry, on July 12, 1940, the son of the late Mike and Mary (Szabo)Jacob.
He was a retired owner of Jacob & Sons Quality Meats for 52 Years; a member of Saint John's Lutheran Church where he was active in the Lutheran Brotherhood both of Martins Ferry. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post #38.
Mike was a long time supporter of Martins Ferry Athletics.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Bodnar and Marsha Simon.
His is survived by his wife, Constance V. (McKean) Jacob; five sons, Michael B. (Wendy) Jacob, St. Clairsville, OH; Timothy P. (Amy) Jacob, Martins Ferry, OH; Lance J. (Nikki) Jacob, St. Clairsville, OH; Richard N. Duncan, Rome, GA; James J. (Susan) Duncan, Lenoir, NC; Karen Duncan, Oswego, IL; sister, Anna (Frank) Noble; two brother-in-laws, William McKean and J. Bruce (Freda) McKean. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Jessica, Julie, Michael, T.J., Amanda, Niko, Leila, Lochlyn, Molly, Jacob, J.R., Billy, Elizabeth, and Emily.
Funeral service was held Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church with Father John Brandenburg, officiating.
Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
