MILDRED REESE Obituary
MILDRED FRANCES REESE, 85, resident of The Villas at St. Therese, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 in Columbus, OH.
Millie was born in Martins Ferry, OH on March 19, 1933, the daughter of the late Carmen and Mary Grace (Cappuccia) DeFede.
She was a retired Bookkeeper for the City of Martins Ferry. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church also in Martins Ferry, OH.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald N. Reese; four sisters, Mary DeAngelis, Lucille Campagna, Serephina Pacifico and Josephine Vargo; three brothers, Frank, Samuel and Joseph DeFede.
She is survived by daughter, Melinda R. (James) Heitker, Westerville, OH; son, Donald J. (Janie) Reese, Paradise Valley, AZ; granddaughter, Kathleen G. (John) Sheridan; granddaughter, Sarah M.(John) Matthews; grandson, Joseph R. Heitker; grandson, Thomas J. Heitker, M.D.; granddaughter, Alexandria (Benjamin) Calacci; granddaughter, Samantha V. Reese; great-granddaughter, Madeline R. Sheridan; great-grandson, John P. Sheridan, III; great-granddaughter, Molly R. Matthews; great-grandson, Michael W. Matthews; great-grandson, Mitchell J. Matthews.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Saturday from 9 until 11 a.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, at Noon on Saturday, August 18, 2018, with Rev. Tom Marut as the celebrant.
Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery Martins Ferry.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church, 20 N. 4th Street Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
