NED RUSSELL SMITH, JR.

NED RUSSELL SMITH, JR., 94, of Colerain, OH, passed away Monday, March 11, 2019.
Ned was born in Martins Ferry, OH on August 2, 1924, a son of the late Ned Russell, Sr. and Helene Amanda (Hall) Smith.
Ned was a WWII veteran and owned his own contracting business for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Jane Gordon and Kathryn Ann Vensel; three brothers and one sister
He is survived by two sons, Ned R. (Reni) Smith III, Dillonvale, OH; Robert C. (Barbara) Smith, Orlando, FL; daughter, Judy L. (Lee) Conaway also of Martins Ferry. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren
Friends were received at the funeral home on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m
Belmont Co. Veterans Association gave military honors Friday at 3:45 p.m.
