ROBERT ALOYSIUS LAVY

ROBERT ALOYSIUS LAVY, 94, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away 8:45 Monday, September 23rd, 2019.
Robert was born in Toronto, OH on January 9, 1925. He was the son of the late Leo and Anna (Weisner) Lavy.
He was a retired Plant Engineer at the Former Blaw-Knox Wheeling, WV.
He was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church Martins Ferry, OH
Robert was also a member of Ohio River Valley Elks Lodge, Past Exalted Ruler Association, Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree Knight and the American Legion..
He served in the U.S. Navy in WW II.
Robert (Bob) was an avid golfer, bowler and outstanding Wood Carver.
In addition to his wife of 70 years, Regina (Walling) he is survived by five daughter, Catherine (James) Kovalcik, Martins Ferry, Cynthia (Frank) Fregiato, St. Clairsville, OH; Jeannine (Rod) Repka, Easton, PA; Roberta (Milo) Hyde, Chesapeake, VA; Denise Robinson, Rayland, OH; son, Robert (Susan) Lavy, Sterling, VA; sister, Gertrude Lantzer, St. Clairsville, OH. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Keller Funeral Home, 615 Hanover Street, Martins Ferry where friends will be received Wednesday, September 25, from 3 to 8p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry at 11 A.M. on Thursday, September 26th, 2019 with Rev. Thomas Magary as the celebrant.
B.P.O.E. #231 Service at 7:00 pm Wednesday at Keller Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice,10686 St. Rt. 150 Rayland, OH 43943.

Robert will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
