SHERYL K. STECKER

SHERYL K. STECKER, born March 20, 1979, in Milan, Oh, died peacefully in her home on December 31, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer.

Sheryl lived her life with an unwavering positive attitude. Despite her illness, she consistently chose happiness, and her attitude affected and inspired all those around her.  Sheryl worked as a consultant for Communication Counsel, Inc. In addition, she freely gave of her time to her friends and family and many local charities and institutions. 

Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel G. Paterson and Katherine G.  Paterson (Gastier).

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul W. Stecker, Jr., and two beloved children, Paul W. Stecker, III and Graham T. Stecker. She is also survived by her sisters, Jennifer (Kirby) Scheer, Leanne (Dan) Kennedy and Melissa (Brandon) Davis and in-laws Paul and Pamela Stecker, Sr., Jennifer (Kurt) Gerchow and Mark (Jennifer) Stecker and nine nieces and nephews that she adored.

Visitation will be held January 5, 2024 at Keller Funeral Home, 615 Hanover Street, Martins Ferry, from 3:30-8pm. Funeral will be held January 6, 2024 at 11 am at St. Mary's Church, 20 N. 4th Street. Martins 

Ferry.
