WILLIAM NAGEL Obituary

WILLIAM JACOB NAGEL, “BILL”, 78, of Colerain, OH  passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at his residence.
Bill was born in Martins Ferry, OH on July 7, 1946,  he was the son of the late Paul Peter and Margaret Owen (Morton) Nagel.
He was a retired employee at the former Sky Bank of Martins Ferry, OH for 40 years.
He was a member of Colerain Presbyterian Church Colerain, OH, where he served as Elder and Trustee.
Member and Past Trustee of the Ohio River Valley Elks Lodge 231, American Legion Post 38, Charter Member and Past Commander of the VFW Post 8848 Colerain Twp., Past President of the Colerain Ruritan Club, Past President of the Martins Ferry Kiwanis Club, Past Vice President and Financial advisor for St. Clairsville Chamber of Commerce, Past elected Official Colerain Township for 14 years as Fiscal Officer.
He served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. Served in Vietnam in 1967 and 1968 as a paratrooper and platoon sergeant with the 101st Airborne Division.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Nagel
In addition to his wife, Nancy (Hugger) Nagel, he is survived by two daughters, Stacey (Chris) Kulevich, Woodbury, MN and  Tammy Sansone, Martins Ferry, OH; grandson, Kyle, Woodbury, MN; granddaughter, Brooke Sansone, Martins Ferry, OH; brother, Robert Nagel, St. Clairsville, OH; sister, Caroline Strauss, Martins Ferry, OH.  
Arrangements have been entrusted to Keller Funeral Home, 615 Hanover Street, Martins Ferry, where friends will be received Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 1 until 4 pm.
Funeral service will be held at the Colerain Presbyterian Church, 71780 Colerain Road, Colerain, OH. at 12 Noon on Monday, October 21, 2024
Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Colerain Presbyterian Church 71780 Colerain Road Bridgeport, OH 43912.
Belmont Co. Veterans Association will give military honors at Holly Memorial at 12:45.
