TILLIE ANN ZEPPOS, 91, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018.
She was born in Martins Ferry on March 15, 1927, the daughter of the late George V. and Elizabeth (Preda) Bonchu.
She was a member of Greek Orthodox Church Of The Life-Giving Fountain of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Zeppos; two brothers, Russell and Eugene Bonchu.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna J. (Neal) Chase, Wheeling, WV and Diana M. (David) Marocco, Coraopolis, PA; two grandchildren, Natalie Urban and Nicolas Marocco, great-grandson, Owen Urban

NANCY JUNE STAUFFER, 76, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020.
Nancy was born in Woodlands, WV on June 28, 1943, a daughter of the late Herbert and Hazel (Gatts) Kelley.
She was a retired Registered Nurse at the former East Ohio Regional Hospital. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Stauffer; two brothers, Robert and Norman Kelley; one sister, Nina Kelley Hanson.
She is survived by two sons, Michael F. (Tonda) Stauffer, Bridgeport. OH and Matthew J. Stauffer, Martins Ferry; two grandaughters, Lindy Stauffer, Bridgeport, OH and Kylie Stauffer, Bridgeport.; grandson, Lucas Ibsen, Cambridge, OH; two great-granddaughters, Emma and Skyler Ibsen; great grandson, John Ibsen; sister, Shirlene (Duke) Horstemeyer, Weirton, WV.

JOHN CHARLES FOUNDS, 72, of Martins Ferry, OH , passed away Monday, September 5, 2022.
John was born in Alexandria, VA on May 1, 1950, he was the son of the late Joseph and Minniere (Howell) Founds.
He was a retired auto body repairman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Founds.
He is survived by two sons, Robert L. (Shelly) Founds, OK; Jeremy J. Founds, OK; two daughters, Jacy A, Blackwell, FL; Amy J. (Dominick) Driver, Martins Ferry, OH; two brothers, Robert (Ellen) Founds, RI; Jim (Lynn) Founds, CA; sister, Joyce (Pat) Gallagher, PA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
DAVID ALLEN HAGGERTY, 46, of Martins Ferry, OH, entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 15, 2022.
Mr. HAGGERTY was born in Atlantic City, NJ on March 3, 1976, he was the son of the late William and Elnora Jane (Rutter) Haggerty who survives him of Martins Ferry, OH.
He worked as a Warehouse Manager at Frito-Lay Martins Ferry. OH.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Peggy E. Haggerty of Grove City, OH.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 31, 1943, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Janz) Barth.
He was a retired Minister at The 20th Century Church.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Burns) Barth, Graysville, PA and a son, David Barth, Jr. of Steubenville, OH. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren.

Frieda (Wasle) Nickle, 95, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Saturday, October 22, 2022 in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born in Flirsch, Austria, August 12, 1927, a daughter of the late Gottlieb and Maria (Grissemann) Wasle.
Frieda was a devoted wife and a loving mother of six children. She loved to cook, travel to see her loved ones, and socialize with friends and family. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her two sons, Felix (Kitty), Nevada; Alvin, Ohio; two daughters, Marlene, Colorado; Mary (Eric) George, South Carolina; brother, Manfred (Elizabeth) Wasle, Austria; sister, Hilda Betschart, Switzerland; and six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Felix; son, Kevin; and daughter, Tina.

Carl was born in Havertown, PA on December 21, 1947. He was the son of the late Zander and Elizabeth (Briggs) Dieter.
He retired as a salesman from Doan Ford, having worked at several other dealerships in the Ohio Valley over his long career.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Erika; two brothers, Frank and Todd; two nephews Brett and Eric; and niece, Amy.
In addition to his wife, Deborah (Scarfo), he is survived by his son, Matthew Z Dieter and daughter-in-law, Kristen Dieter, Zionsville, IN; two grandsons, Grayson and Oliver Dieter; two sisters-in-laws, Carol Dieter and Nancy Dieter; and three nephews, Kurt Dieter, Scott Dieter and Andrew Dieter.

She was born in Wintersville, OH on November 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Gabor and Helen (Vincze) Rozsa.
She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church of Colerain, OH. She led an amazing life. She was well loved and known for her amazing baking skills. She has made countless birthday, wedding, anniversary and shower cakes for friends and family. She was still baking cookies for family and neighbors this past christmas.
In addition to her parents and her husband William Fodor, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Alex and Gabe Rozsa; five sisters, Helen Butcher, Ann Nemeth, Mary Nemeth Lizzie Kuric and Frances Piccolomini.
She is survived by five daughters, Theresa (Barr) Koller, Martins Ferry, OH; Diane (David) Hardwick, Fayetteville, NC; Cheri A. Gandy, Martins Ferry, OH; Sandi L. (Dale) Takach, Columbus, OH; Billie Jo (Brian) Malechowski, Columbus, OH; brother, Joseph Rozsa; two sisters, Barbara (John) Grantonic; Katie (Edward) Grantonic. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, one step-grandchild, 14 great-grandchildren.

She was born in Martins Ferry, OH on July 30, 1966, she was the daughter of the late James William and Mary Ann (Sztary) Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-laws, Randy Hardman, Don Lutz, Sr. and J.D. Riesbeck.
In addition to her husband, Jack C. Tittle, Jr. and Kaylee Tittle (Gram's Pride and Joy), she is survived by six sisters, Diana Hacker, Nancy Lutz, Joyce (Tim) Cooper, Denise Riesbeck, and Sue (Rob) Wacker, all of Martins Ferry and Donna Hardman, Wheeling, WV. Also surviving, Heidi Tittle (Mike Clark), David Tittle, Megan (Matt) Engle and two great-grandchildren, Zane and Aria, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

OWEN “BUTCH” CHANNEL, 76, passed away at his home in Martins Ferry, OH, Saturday, March 18, 2023.
Butch was a graduate of Martins Ferry High School. He was a retired coal miner from Consol Coal.
He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and shooting. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Butch was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Channel and his grandson, Dennis “Bubba” Channel.
Butch left behind his wife of 55 years, Sandra Channel, two sons, Junior Channel (Erika) and Steve Channel (Pam); brother, Terry Channel and sister, Sandy Robert; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Kenny was born in Stone, KY on March 17, 1933, he was the son of the late Logan and Eva Bernice (Perry) Morris.
He was a retired millwright at the former Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville Plant.
He was a member of First Baptist Church; member of the American Legion, Post 38, both of Martins Ferry. He served in the US Navy in the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Vivian Fogarty
In addition to his wife, Dora Rae (Smith) Morris, he is survived by son, Kenneth B. (Terri) Morris, Madison, AL; daughter, Candis J Morris-Kester, Bellaire, OH; granddaughter, Brittany Morris; four grandsons, Brandon Morris; Bradley Morris; Corey Kester and Codey Kester.

THELMA ESTHER TIRPAK, 98, formerly of St. Clairsville, OH , passed away Monday, August 21, 2023.
She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 2, 1924, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Elizabeth (Heckle) Shane.
She was a Red Cross volunteer and also volunteered at local hospitals; a member of Friends Church, of St. Clairsville, OH.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Tirpak; daughter, Darlene Barrett and two sisters, Mary Lackman and Nancy Monahan.
She is survived by a son, William Tirpak; four grandchildren, Kari Ann, Stacey, Arthur and Douglas. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
Her family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff at East Ohio Regional Hospital that provided for her care. She really felt loved and at home there.

Dora Rae Morris,"Peanuts",93, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023.
She was born in Wellsburg, WV on June 6, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Gale Bernard and Ida Hazel (McKitrick) Smith.
She was a retired clerk at Convenient Food of Martins Ferry. She was a member of First Baptist Church, also of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Kenneth, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard , Herman and Clifford Smith; and one sister, Patricia Smith.
She is survived by one son, Kenneth Bruce (Terri) Morris, Madison, AL; daughter, Candis J. Kester, Bellaire, OH; three brothers, Tom, Jack and Chuck Smith; three sisters, Carol Giles, Scheila Turner, Pam Griffith; five grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Bradley, Corey and Codey.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the First Baptist Church, 306 Locust St., Martins Ferry from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. with Rev. Larry Lewis officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.
